If released as intended, HEAT would have been the ninth Philistine book. HEAT was written many years after INTO THE LIMELIGHT (chapter three of the Anthology/Chronology), which was the first issue of the six-part “Origin” mini-series, the introduction of THE PHILISTINE to the world. HEAT was to be issue two of the uncompleted “Mexico Adventures” series. Upon reviewing the material that constitutes the entire completed Philistine works, it was decided that this “Mexico Adventures” story begin the chronology of the self-contained anthology.
